Spring is coming! The air is crisp, and the fields, forests, meadows, and mountains will soon begin to awaken from winter’s slumber. With spring in the air, the teams at Nemacolin are preparing for your arrival at the resort.
As we soon tuck the skis, skates, and snow tubes into storage, spring vacation will begin to bloom. Fresh mulch will be spread, flowers will be planted, and the golf courses will be readied. Do you feel it?
We’re ready. Whether you’re joining us for a weekend getaway, spring break family trip, an Easter or Passover holiday, or Mother’s Day, Nemacolin is your ultimate destination for family fun, outdoor adventure, delectable dining, soothing spa spaces, and great golf.
Here’s your guide to the happenings, highlights, and spring activities:
Happenings at the Resort
There’s a whole lot going on, and the What’s Happening page is updated often with the latest and greatest information. This is the place to find the events, holiday brunches, bands, clinics, and retreats coming up at Nemacolin.
Experiences at the Resort
If you have a planning person in your family, information on the Experiences page is your avenue to a filled itinerary. Once you have your overnight stay reserved, a member of our Experience Team will help you plan your experiences at the resort. They’re the experts at knowing what’s taking place and when. They have sample itineraries based on what you love, like art, spa, wellness, golf, or adventure.
If you prefer to sleuth it on your own, the search bar on this page will help you map your stay with categories for adventure, family, culture, dining, wellness, and seasonal experiences. Type spring into the box, and it’ll give suggestions on what’s open for the current season. Type summer, and you’ll have a similar, yet different list of planning ideas and activities.
The Peak
Delivering limitless, year-round fun for all, The Peak is the place to enjoy two pools and a hot tub, live entertainment, spring activities for kids, delicious drinks and dining, games on the big screen, and poolside cabanas (those are open year-round, too!). It’s a hub of adventure, and anything can happen at The Peak!
Take an instructional Jeep course or a ride-along adventure over boulders and through mud, test your mettle on the ropes courses — we’ve got them for little tykes, tweens, and adults, too. Go bowling, axe throwing, or play some target paintball. Borrow an e-bike to explore on your own. Take a hike, or play some mini golf. Or, just kick back and enjoy the hot tub and heated pools. The Peak is the place to lose yourself in never-ending wonder.
Wildlife Adventures
Bringing together animals from all corners of the world, Wildlife Adventures provides interactive education and live animal programs. Visit the Wildlife Habitats, meet and greet some of the furry farm friends, join a safari tour, get up closer with an animal encounter, or saddle up for a scenic horseback ride with a trusty steed.
The Rod & Range Club
The Rod & Range Club houses one of the nation’s top sporting clay facilities where you can answer the call of the wild with fishing, shooting, guided instruction, and outdoor adventure. Rent a spin rod to use on one of the resort’s many ponds, or take to the streams for some of the finest fly fishing in the East. Check out the heated five stand or experience some sporting clays with your own instructor as you visit some of the 35 stands and stations across 150 acres of private land. Try your hand at 3D archery, or watch the kids learn new skills with Archery & Air Rifle. You’ve never had so much fun practicing your aim and connecting with a target!
Golf
Inspired by nature, Pete Dye created unforgettable golf for Nemacolin guests and members. Shepherd’s Rock will open for the season very soon, and Mystic Rock is ready to go. There’s a Women’s Golf Weekend planned in May, and a half-dozen other premier golf schools planned. Year-round golf takes place at The Nemacolin Golf Academy, as do weekend tours, swing assessments, and bootcamps for new and intermediate golfers. The Golf Academy is your facility to play more than 140 courses from around the world with Trackman, and there’s private instruction by the pros, including one of Golf Digest’s 2023 Best Young Teachers in America, Mike LaBella.
Art
Create magical masterpieces, and see more than 1000 pieces of art from the Hardy Family Art Collection at Nemacolin. Take an art class, go on a variety of art tours, visit the studio for kids crafts, painting classes, or visit Reflections to see modern art, a tribute to the resort’s founder, and the famous, Franco Harris’ Immaculate Reception football on display.
Spa & Wellness
From cutting-edge signature therapies and holistic practices to unadulterated spa treatments and refreshing retreats, at Nemacolin, you get to define what self-care and wellness mean to you. The Woodlands Spa and Salon and the Holistic Healing Center offer rejuvenating therapies to soothe the mind, body, and spirit. There’s a Fitness Center full of modern equipment and expert trainers, and there are daily fitness and wellness classes to boost your energy, build flexibility, and contribute to your fun factor.

We haven’t even covered the shopping, dining and lounges, pasta classes, whiskey tastings, private chefs, a spa for your pets, a casino, and so many more things to do!
