Outdoor Winter Fun
From adrenaline-rushing adventures on the slopes to serene excursions through frost-laden forests, Nemacolin sets the stage for winter weekend getaways steeped in nature’s beauty.
Skiing and Snowboarding
The Peak at Nemacolin is a slope-side paradise, spanning 25 acres of meticulously groomed terrain. Six slopes range from gentle beginner hills for those just finding their footing, to challenging runs that promise a thrill for even the most seasoned enthusiasts. Private lessons are available, and illuminated trails (and year-round pools!) ensure the fun continues after dark.
Dogsledding
Explore Nemacolin’s forested terrain with the most loveable guides around — our very own sled dog team. For the safety of the dogsledding team, real-feel temperatures need to be 40°F or less, and there needs to be at least 8” of snowpack before you can glide on a sled. But even without snow, the experience is just as exhilarating as our dogs pull a special wheeled Touri Cart through the magical landscape.
Snow Tubing
With snow tubing, you can feel the unbridled joy of being a kid again — squeals guaranteed. A conveyor lift transfers guests to the top of the tubing slope, where six lanes await to whizz you down a stunning descent of 700 feet.
