Fun on the Ropes
Everyone in the family will have fun monkeying around on Nemacolin’s ropes courses, taking you 52 feet high into the air to enjoy a safe, active experience among the treetops. Nemacolin’s ropes courses feature 36 elements on three levels designed on a flexible harness system allowing guests to switch directions, paths, routes, and elements to increase or decrease the level of difficulty or if the activity is already occupied. Adventurous climbers can soar to new heights by “walking the plank” or having a seat at the “floating” picnic table at the top. For the little ones, there will be nine elements on an additional course located below the first level — adventure awaits for all ages!
A Horse of a Different Color
The best way to explore the beautiful Nemacolin landscape is on horseback. Experiences at the Equestrian Center are perfect for the whole family. For your little foals, supervised pony rides are a thrilling and safe way to experience horseback riding for the first time. Once they’re hooked, the whole family can enjoy backwoods trail rides, which will take you through two miles of Nemacolin’s wonderful woods under the care of an expert guide.
Roam if You Want to

Nemacolin’s Rod & Range Club
Woven throughout 150 acres of the Laurel Highlands, the Nemacolin Rod & Range Club houses one of the nation’s top sporting clay facilities and access to some of the finest fishing streams and creeks in the Eastern United States. This local institution is famous for its majestic natural environment, top-of-the-line equipment and facilities, and expert staff.
Home on the Range
Test your aim and have a blast at the Rod & Range Club. Our industry-leading sporting clay range is challenging enough for any seasoned marksman, and expert instruction is available for those trying this thrilling sport for the first time. Upland bird hunting is also available, spread across 275 acres of land containing both groomed and natural terrain. A Pennsylvania hunting license is not required for these experiences, which are available from September through March.
Go Fish
Guests of all ages love casting their lines on the Orvis-endorsed Fly-Fishing Lodge at the Rod & Range Club, which is famous for the beauty and quality of its fly-fishing streams. Transportation, equipment, and the services of an expert guide are included for all trips, and lunch is offered on full-day trips. Spin-cast fishing and introductory fly-fishing courses are available for beginners. All fly-fishing trips are catch and release, and reservations are required. A valid state fishing license is required and sold separately.
