Prosperity
We believe in mindful growth, ensuring that our prosperity is always shared with our associates, community, and environment. Through the utilization of the latest technology, building materials, planning, and local partnerships, we are expanding in a way that makes Nemacolin more energy-efficient, more resilient to climate change, more self-reliant, and an even better experience for guests, members, and associates.
Partnering with Clearwater Restoration, Nemacolin redesigned and rebuilt sections of local streams Meadow Run and Beaver Creek, providing a sustainable environment for trout. This has improved upstream and downstream fishery capabilities and enhanced our catch-and-release fly-fishing experiences.
Light bulbs and fixtures in the resort are being converted to LED or a high-efficiency equivalent. Motion sensors are being added where appropriate to further reduce energy consumption.
In an effort to decrease the use of single-use plastics, to-go boxes and takeaway cutlery at Nemacolin's restaurants, associate dining facilities, and The Market are now 100% biodegradable, plant-based, and compostable. Recycled paper napkins and plant-based straws are also in use at associate dining facilities.
Depreciated, salvageable items are upcycled through associate sales or donated to charitable organizations. Proceeds from these sales go to the Associate Assistance Fund for sudden hardships endured by team members of the resort.
All timber harvested on property is repurposed into firewood for fireplaces and firepits across the resort. Select wood, such as cherry, is turned into custom furniture or used by our restaurants for smoking food.
Nemacolin's spa and wellness services source top-tier products from a variety of organic, cruelty-free, and local providers including Zents, Voya, FarmHouse Fresh, Natura Bisse, and Ancient Healing Oils.
