People
We believe that all people should be treated with dignity, respect, and equality. Our associates are our greatest asset, and we are committed to enabling each of them to reach the height of their potential. Through housing, benefits, quality of life measures, and education, we maintain a happier, healthier workforce with a positive presence in the local community, a lower environmental impact, and strong values of service that improve the experience of every guest.
Completed in 2023, Wisteria is our associate-only community. It includes 38 homes, an organic market, a pub, and a state-of-the-art rec center. This investment in our team also reduces the resort's carbon footprint.
Nemacolin's robust career progression system prepares our associates for leadership positions in the hospitality industry. These opportunities include paid internships, tuition reimbursement, the Advanced Leadership Development Program, and more.
Nemacolin has partnered with Copia to donate unused food to the local community.
All partially used liquid soap and bar soap is donated to the Clean The World organization, where it is reformed into fresh, clean soap and donated to impoverished areas.
Our restaurants and The Market partner with local farms and vendors to source high-quality, organic ingredients, including Haines Farming, Goat Rodeo, Sechler Sugar Shack, and more. This supports the local community, preserves its agri-based economy, and reduces the resort's carbon footprint.
Monarch butterfly waystations are throughout our golf courses, providing a food source for butterflies on their migration route. Our monarch butterfly education program educates children about these important insects, including hands-on rearing of live monarchs, tagging them for research, and releasing them into the wild to assist with conservation.
